Our apartment is located in a beautiful coastal village located 70kms (60min drive) from the Ancient Heritage town of Dubrovnik. This is a new air conditioned 2 bed apartment for rent with all mod cons (inc. sofa bed) so 6 people can be comfortably accommodated. A large terrace gives you some of the best views of the Adriatic coast. The apartment literally sits on the coastline and is only a few steps away from a promenade which is great for evening walks along the seafront.The Village Beach is only 2 mins walk away and the small complex has an indoor swimming pool, sauna, fitness centre, bar and restaurant. It is locally run so a genuine Croatian experience is guaranteed. Komarna is ideal as a touring base as Dubrovnik, Medjegore, Mostar, Ston, Peljesac Penisnula, The Islands of Korcula, Brac and Hvar, Makaraska Coast (Brela, Tucepi etc..) are all within a one hour drive. In short it is a genuinely beautiful location and the perfect base for your week in Croatia !
Check in & key holder: The key holder is located directly adjacent to the apartment. The management company will look after your registration and show you to your apartment. They will also be your unofficial tour guide, always willing to lend a helping hand. Should you need any fresh towels, bed linen etc during your stay the staff of the management company will provide this for you.
Local hospitality: There is a local bar, a restaurant and a beach bar where the staff are always available for advice and to help in any way they can. You can hire a car for day trips and they will also assist you if you wish to hire out a boat. Sun loungers, bikes and jet skis are also available for hire.
There are a couple of bars and local restaurants in Komarna which serve delicious fresh seafood.
Provided in the apartment: There is a comprehensive folder of useful information compiled which includes directions to local tourist attractions, local restaurants, shops, and general tourist information.
There is a library of DVD's provided to cater for all tastes just in case you are housebound with the weather etc.

The Master Bedroom leads out onto a private terrace with fantastic views of the Adriatic so you can wake up to unforgettable views every morning of your visit.
There is ample storage space for a family holiday and a baby cot can be provided at no extra charge if advance notice is given. All bed linen and towels are provided for your trip. The apartment is cleaned weekly (even when unoccupied) and any extra towels etc that you may require are freely available from the local management team.
All of the windows in the apartment have full shuttering to ensure shade in the day and darkness at night.
The spacious bathroom is tiled throughout and there is plenty of storage space. There is also a full size washing machine in the bathroom at your disposal.
The kitchen is equiped with an Electric Hob and an oven. There is also a toaster, a microwave, a kettle and an electric orange juice squeezer.
There is a large fridge with a seperate freezer compartment. This is invaluable if you plan to pruchase food to cook throughout your stay.
The kitchen contains all one would need for a self catering stay in an apartment.
There is an extendable table which can facilitate 6 diners. There is also a dining table in the balcony and 6 chairs are also provided.
|Further details about exterior facilities||The view from the main balcony has to be seen to be believed. It is orientated so that you can enjoy the sun from late morning throughout the day and then enjoy the sunset until it disappears below the horizon. There is two loungers, a table and 6 chairs on the main balcony. There is a second terrace situated off the main bedroom. There is a separate table and chairs on this balcony. There is a designated parking space for the apartment. |

A 20% deposit required to secure booking period. A discount will be offered for extended periods greater than one week. Book early to avoid disappointment!!
The remaining 80% is due two weeks prior to arrival at the apartment
Please note that the in-door pool is only opened between June and September
There is a small nominal fee for the use of the in door swimming pool, gym & sauna. This fee is paid locally to the management company.
All meals can be booked in restaurant 50 metres from apartment.

Komarna is the perfect base to see the attractions of central Croatia and Bosnia.
The old town of Dubrovnik is a 60-70 minute drive away. You cannot visit this region without spending a day in Dubrovnik. A walk on the walls is great way to spend a few hours.
The Peljesac Peninsula is a fantastic day trip to take in the wine regions and the wall at Ston
The Island of Korcula can be reached by ferry from the end of the Peljesac Peninsula.
The city of Mostar in Bosnia is like a mini Dubrovnik. This is less than an hour away
The city of Medjugorge speaks for itself, and is a great draw for many pilgrims. This is just over an hours drive.
Description of the surrounding area
Komarna is a small village which is nestled directly on the coast. The beach in front of the apartment is crystal clear, and is gorgeous to swim in first thing in the morning when there is not a ripple on the sea. There is a local Restaurant with lovely staff and two bars. There is also a small shop 30 metres from your front door which have all the basic provisions.
There are supermarkets located in Neum (10 km to the south) , Opuzen (12 km to the north) and Metkovic (17 km to the north) where you can do a complete shop.
