Holiday by the sea
Istria, Croatian largest peninsula proudly holds the name "Terra Magica". Protected from the north by the mountain Ucka, its rivers and streams freely flow to the sea through deep valleys. The white, grey and red land is partially filled with plateau of wheat fields surrounded by rolling hills covered with vineyards and olive groves. On top of almost every hill there is a little town with its own story which brings to mind the ancient local myths about giants. Visit Istria and find out the legend.
Located at the head of the Adriatic between the Gulf of Trieste and the Kvarner Gulf it is quickly accessible from any European country close by. Istria is famous Croatian touristic place characterized by bright clean sea, beautiful beaches, historical towns, tiny village alleyways and charming little islands. You can visit Amphitheater, Augustus temple or the door of Hercules in Pula, St. Eufemija church in Rovinj or Eufrasian basilica in Porec. Enjoy the safari-park at the Brijuni national park or visit the caves of Baredine and Postojna. Istria offers many bike and hiking routes, tennis, golfing, fishing and diving for recreation and active vacation. You can enjoy adventure park Glavani near Brban with your friends, or spend the day with your kids in aquapark Istralandia near Novigrad. End the day with delicious traditional Istrian meal and don’t forget to taste truffles, Istrian prosciutto, homemade pasta and seafood specialties.
Everything is warm–hearted and friendly here: nature, towns and people.
Description of the surrounding area
The town of Cepic is characterized with plateau of wheat and corn fields grown on a land that previously was under Cepic lake. The lake was drained in the 1930’s by an underground tunnel connecting Cepic valley with the Plomin bay. The entrance of the tunnel can be visited and is a few minutes bike ride away.
The town itself provides small grocery store and a local bar at a walking distance. Close by there are hiking and bike routes. Everything else is easily accessible by car since the town is located near the road which connects Labin and tunnel Ucka. The closest beaches and restaurants are at 5km, while the first touristic place Rabac is at 20km.
